Our Hope & Care Ministries

Food Pantry
Did you know that at the SJB site, the SCA Parish has a Food Pantry, and it is filled with food? The Food Pantry is open on Monday's from 1 pm - 3 pm. Please do not come at any other time as no one will be present to help you.

Pass the word along, you do NOT have to be a parishioner or attend Mass at either SJB or SH to receive food!
Take Them a Meal
Congrats on the birth of your newest child, we would love to bring you a meal. Having a newborn is difficult enough so leave the meals to us for a little while. We are always pleased to share a helping hand!
Ministers of the Eucharist
The Church carries forward Christ’s healing ministry in a variety of ways. Ministry of Care cares for those who are hospitalized, in nursing homes or confined to private homes. Ministers are trained and formed to conduct pastoral visits with time to listen and pray about the concerns of the sick or shut-in person and to share Eucharist with them.
Anointing of the Sick
Since the earliest days of the Church, Christians have used the laying on of hands and anointing with oil as signs of God’s loving, healing presence in our most vulnerable moments. It is vitally important to us that you have access to this beautiful sacrament when you need it most.
Carlo Cares
Using the inspiration of St. Carlo, parishioners have started up a program called Carlo Cares. The idea is that, like Carlo, we need to take the message of Jesus we hear at mass and go out into the world and shows acts of mercy. In this season of giving hopefully we all can give to those less fortunate. Following Carlos lead, 20 backpacks have been filled with the following items.
  • Key chain flashlight
  • Hand & Toe warmers
  • Bath/Body Wipes
  • Winter Hat, Gloves, Socks
  • Lip Balm
  • Kleenex
  • First Aid Kit
  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Lunch on the Go (instant food)
  • Snacks - granola bars, crackers, protein bars
  • Water
We have already began to distribute the backpacks to those in need. If you would like to help please contact the parish office via email at [email protected]

As parishioners of Saint Carlo Acutis we encourage you to make your own backpacks and deliver them to those in the community that might need help this winter, especially the unhoused.
